About International Mathematics LiveOlympiad
This competition is open for school students from classes 1 to X. Students from schools, teaching as per pattern of CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and Australian schools following Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards NSW (BOSTES) are eligible to apply.
International Mathematics LiveOlympiad Syllabus and Marking Scheme
International Mathematics LiveOlympiad is prepared in the English language. Student participants may expect the exam content from their own grade. A typical assessment for each class comprises of 30 questions and will be of 30 minutes time duration.
In level 1 competition, students studying in CBSE affiliated school may expect questions based on CBSE curriculum. Likewise, students studying in schools affiliated to ICSE or BOSTES may expect the scope of level 1 Olympiad assessment from the content they may cover until their half yearly exam (Term 1 & 2 for NSW) or before the scheduled LiveOlympiad exam date. This is done to ensure that the outcome of effort invested in the LiveOlympiad exam may help an individual with the preparation for school’s existing curriculum.
In level 2 International Competition, all students may expect a common (same or of the same level) test during the Mathematics International LiveOlympiad exam. Syllabus at International level exam mainly comprises of those topics, chapters, and concepts of Mathematics that are covered until the end of academic year in the same grade or have been studied in the previous grades.
