About Aryabhatta Inter School Mathematics Competition
Aryabhatta, as we all know is one of the India’s greatest Mathematician- astronomers. He is the man behind the invention of the digit Zero (0). His most appreciated work is Aryabhatiya, which is an abstract of Mathematics and Astronomy which is broadly attributed in the Indian Mathematical literature and even referred to in the modern times. Along with that, it also covers quadratic equations, table of sines, continued fractions and power series. Aryabhatta Inter-school Mathematics competition is an initiative of Summer Fields School, Kailash colony, New Delhi. Aryabhatta Inter-school mathematics competition began in 1982 with the motive of analysing and improving the minds of India’s young Mathematicians. Over the years, the competition has gained tremendous popularity in which students from some of the India’s most prestigious schools participate ardently. Due to enormous response, the Inter-school competition has become one of the most important exams in Mathematics. Multiple Choice Questions – 20 Questions of 1 mark each.
Free Response Questions (Type I) – 20 Questions of 2 mark each.
Free Response Questions (Type II) – 10 Questions of 3 mark each.
